Diabetes technology has come a long way

We take pride in taking care of patients with Diabetes, providing them with the latest & cutting edge technology all focused on improving the lives of people with diabetes!

From blood glucose meters and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) to cutting-edge insulin pumps and more, devices are easier to use and less invasive.

Continuous Glucose Monitors

Continuous glucose monitoring automatically tracks blood levels, also called blood sugar, throughout the day and night. You can see your glucose level anytime at a glance. You can also review how your glucose changes over a few hours or days to see trends.

Seeing glucose levels in real time can help you make more informed decisions throughout the day about how to balance your food, physical activity, and medicines.

Insulin Pumps

If you have diabetes, you know that keeping blood sugar (glucose) levels in a safe range is extremely important. Good blood glucose control not only makes you feel well, but also helps prevent long-term diabetes complications, such as blindness, kidney failure, and heart disease.

While insulin can be given by self-injection, people who take multiple daily injections of insulin may also consider using an insulin pump.

What is an insulin pump? It’s a small, computerized device that provides continuous delivery of short-acting insulin all day long. The insulin pump substitutes the need for long-acting insulin. A pump also replaces the need for multiple daily injections with a continuous insulin infusion, and it helps to improve your blood sugar levels.

Inhaled Insulin

Afrezza® is an ultra rapid-acting mealtime insulin that is breathed in through your lungs using an oral inhaler. Afrezza® gives you the flexibility to eat when you want while providing proven blood sugar control.

With Afrezza®, insulin is delivered through the large surface area of the lungs, which allows for ultra rapid absorption. The insulin passes through your lungs into your blood in less than 1 minute. Your blood sugar starts to lower in about 12 minutes. With other insulins, it may take longer for your blood sugars to start going down.
